Extra long hiatus

I don't know when I'll be working on this game, but I'll be putting it in the closet for now.

Game Progress

I've got some voice actors working on the game today for Cosmik's position, because he is pretty freaking important later on after you defeat him.

I'll be working on this game a little bit today though.

Who... Are you?

As our hero's story continues and the fates of the Goddesses become more unveiled let's talk about a few things that are currently in the demo so far.

  • Melbu
    • A sinister evil, one of the main villains in the story who summons demons and births them from dark magic. In the current demo, you do get to see Melbu, but he flees before you fight him. Instead you must fight a pawn of his. He's plotting something much more than the destruction of Selinian City, but what could it be? The next update might have the answers!

  • King Bastion
    • The king to Selinian City. The eldest brother of King Bastion the First. The current king, Bastion, was not actually born in Selinian City, but instead on the Nexus. He was chosen to become a powerful Ark Guard to watch over central space but when he came of age at 18 he decided to be a political figured instead to help his father in Selinian City. Years later after his father died he was crowned the new king. His rule would make his father proud because his knowledge and reputation with the Nexus has greatly increased the living quality of his kingdom. The people are generally happy under his guidance and protection.

  • Arcayn
    • A very mysterious wizard that never shows his face. He's a close friend and advisor to the current King Bastion, and was also the advisor to Bastion's father. Arcayn's age, race, and sometimes gender are questioned by the guard. Those who have tried to assassinate this pesky advocate to the throne always find themselves punished by his hand at magic. He never seems to kill his enemies, only stop them from moving so the proper authorities can arrest them. His power sometimes seems immeasurable but none the less, the next update will share more information about this mysterious hooded figure and his partly his role in the universe.

  • The Hero
    • The hero is who the player controls. The hero's quest is also the Goddess's quest. You are their right hand of justice. Their first and last line of defense. Symphonia has chosen this hero as her champion to discover what darkness is looming just over the divine's horizon and siphoning their powers. The hero will make decisions, good or bad, but in the end, the hero will be the one to unfold all the secrets of this tale. They will also learn that some history is best left undiscovered, except by Gods.

Haitus - Nearly Over

I'm getting more and more anxious to start building on this game again. I've been planning the continuations of the current build, this demo, and I'd like to make a poll to help guide my way into developing this game. So if you're reading, please take a few seconds and vote over to the right side of your screen.

I've been writing stories for a long time, and every person I've pitched this game's completed story to has described it as amazing. I've asked them to be harsh with me, and I've asked them to tell me what could be better. I am usually empty with negative feedback. I'm honestly hoping that after I complete this game I'll be able to pitch it's story and design to a major game publisher. I don't believe I'd make a great programmer, or a great graphic artist, but from everything I've been told around me is that I can tell a good story. That's what I'm aiming for with this game. I have everyone from MGR to thank for playing this game, and my friends that have supported this idea of mine. The last friend I pitched the story to got so engaged and involved that cried happy at the end of the story. So if you're still reading, and if I finish this game and you beat it with a clear understanding of the story line, I hope you'll have a unique feeling from this game's story.

I hope to work on this game again soon. Once I'm out of college and with a decent job, I'm sure I'll have much more time to focus on the game's progression.

Thanks for the positive feed back. Thanks for the critique. Thanks for reading. And more importantly, thanks for playing.

Fixing the downloads

I noticed the downloads were HORRIBLE today and it's nearly impossible to get the game. I'm sorry if anyone's tried getting them. I'm gonna re-upload today. Sorry if you've been trying to play. I hope this upload helps. =)

For the lack of posting...

I've been pretty busy with school and my other games get more attention so that's what I've been working on. You can download this version of the game, which IS the (sort of) Official DEMO. If you'd like to see more of the game voting in the poll for 2 seconds of your time would certainly inspire me. =)

Thanks a bunch!

Good new, bad news.

Good news is, haitus over. But I don't plan to work on the physical game. I gotta preplan events for the next part of the game.

Bad news. My laptop has bad sectors today and I also took it apart and found out I have a faulty disk drive. It will read a disk like 5% of the time too. I backed up my data to try and reformat the hard drive (I know, may not work but still...) and the laptop blue screens all the time. It's hard to get anything done. I was lucky that I finished my school work.

Anyway, I'm glad to say that the pre planning period for the game can start after tomorrow. I might not post as often here, but it'll still be worked on so no worries. Now I gotta save every penny I can get for a new laptop/desktop, desktop preferred. T_T
